This photo was taken in 1995, during my second trip to Tver region. The actual place is near Chentsy village, near the town of Kashin, but on the opposite bank of the Medveditsa river. I did not collect butterflies at that time, but I remember that I caught a specimen of the common swallowtail (Papilio machaon Linnaeus,1758) there, which I`ve released. On the photo: me, on the right-hand side, and on the left-hand side, Mr. Lavrov, an ex-forest ranger, a former officer at the Ministry of Aviation of USSR and a landscape artist.
